Bimala is working on her thesis to evaluate the extent to which public participation processes for sustainable forest management in Canada retain gendered norms and expectations of the participants of Canadian forest-based public advisory committees. Specifically, she will undertake a gender-based analysis of a national survey to evaluate how women and men who participate describe accessibility, values, experiences and satisfaction with their participation.
