Dr. Razak Abu Alumnus

Razak's research is part of a larger project that seeks to assess the links between water, animals, and people in the Saskatchewan River Delta. Specifically, He is assessing the changing livelihoods and the adaptation strategies of the people of Cumberland House resulting from long-term hydro-ecological change in the delta. He is also exploring how the cultural and spiritual values of the delta have changed and the consequences of those changes to local well-being.

Razak's research is connected to the resilience and social sustainability themes of the PROGRESS Lab, as it focuses on how the community of Cumberland House are building resilient livelihood in the face of hydro-ecological change.
