About
Denise has a BSc in Kinesiology from York University (Toronto, ON) and an MSc in Kinesiology from Nipissing University (North Bay, ON). She is in the first year of her PhD in Health Sciences. Her research will focus on understanding shoulder function (and dysfunction) in farmers. We hope to bring sensors called Inertial Measurement Units into the field to investigate how shoulder posture is influenced by different work tasks, shoulder pathology, fatigue, and other variables. This research will aid in the development of mitigation and prevention strategies to help keep farmers safe and able to work.
