WHO Prioritizes Musculoskeletal Research

The World Health Organization's new action plan for Non-communicable diseases covers research priorities for clean air, mental health, and metabolic disorder. However, of particular interest to our lab and our collaborators is the stated importance of promoting Musculoskeletal health.

Jonathon Krugerr of the World Confederation for Physical Threapy  states: “For the first time the WHO has recognised that countries must take action to decrease the burden arising from musculoskeletal disease. Good musculoskeletal health is critical to good physical health. Good physical health is a prerequisite to people living life to their full potential.”
