Stephen Lett is a historian of music theory who studies practices with music in psychotherapy and the contemporary disciplinary formation of music theory. Currently a postdoctoral fellow in the history of medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, in 2019 he received his Ph.D. in music theory from the University of Michigan with the dissertation “The Psychedelic Listener.” His work has been published in the Journal of Schenkerian Studies and the Chacruna Chronicles.
