Regulation Of New Breeding Techniques

Three-year project

New plant breeding techniques (NBTs) are being developed and employed in ways that may make it difficult if not impossible to determine the process used to create a new crop variety. There is considerable uncertainty among the plant breeding community over whether or how to employ these new breeding techniques. The objective of the project is to examine how decision making responds or adapts to new technologies, thereby providing plant breeders and regulators with additional information on how these technologies may be handled.

This project is designed to run for the next three years. If you agree to register and participate in this project, we will send one survey every three months, with each survey taking no more than 15 minutes. All respondents should be able to answer the questions with their personal knowledge and should not need to do extra work to answer the questions.
