Felicitas completed her PhD in 2015. For her doctoral research, she used qualitative methods to investigate the contributions of social learning to collaborative forest governance in forest-based communities in Uganda and Canada. Felicitas’ research interests include environmental governance, evidence-based policy, public participation, social learning, and sustainability. Felicitas has conducted research in Africa, North America, and South America. She is especially interested in contributing to the effective and equitable management of natural resources by resource-based communities. Felicitas is currently working with the BC Ministry of Forests Lands Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development. Felicitas is also an Adjunct in SENS.
