Laila is currently working on understanding how to develop guidelines for governance of international working groups comprising of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples for her project-based master’s program. She is interested in developing an in-depth understanding of ‘best practices’ for community involvement in governance and decision-making in natural resource management, and how to scale up local approaches to broader global scales, drawing on success stories from around the world.
