Laura S. Lynes PhD Candidate

Laura is a PhD candidate in the School of Environment and Sustainability. She is working under a research initiative called Community Appropriate Sustainable Energy Security (CASES) that aims to reimagine energy security in northern and Indigenous communities by co-creating and brokering the knowledge, understanding, and capacity to design, implement and manage renewable energy systems that support and enhance social and economic values. Laura’s research will focus on exploring how emerging good-practices in effectively bringing tougher Indigenous and other knowledge systems could advance energy transitions in the Circumpolar North.
