Since 2000, Babak has specialized in water and wastewater treatment, design, research & development and operation in municipal water and wastewater treatment systems and in different industries. Babak has extensive experience in the design and operation of water and wastewater treatment plants as well as in the evaluation of new technology ideas and processes and screening them for their potential to add improvements to current systems. Since 2013, Babak has worked at DelcoWater as an R&D manager developing biological filtration technology for treating water containing iron, manganese, ammonia, and arsenic, especially at low temperatures. Babak conducted biological filtration pilot studies at 20 locations and has, so far, designed and commissioned 12 biological filtration systems. Babak has more than 14 publications in peer-review journals and one book.
