Peter Friedrichsen (he/him) is currently the General Manager of the Prince Albert Model Forest Association (PAMF) based in Prince Albert, SK (Treaty 6, Homeland of the Mêtis and the Dakota). The PAMF is a partnership among forest users, researchers and organizations to promote stewardship of Saskatchewan's forest resource and its sustainability for today and for generations to come. Recently, he has worked with community partners in and around Prince Albert to develop a youth tree planting program. He is also working with Indigenous traditional land users to monitor Species at Risk, such as woodland caribou, and improve the use of Indigenous Knowledge in recovery planning efforts. Outside of work, Peter enjoys curling, film and the arts:he has formal training in singing and dance, including jazz, ballet and musical theatre.
