I supervise PhD, MA, MSc, MES, and MSEM students. Many of my graduate students have been fully or partially supported by SSHRC research grants. I have a strong record of attracting highly qualified graduate students, including those that have won SSHRC Masters, NSERC Doctoral, and Dean’s graduate scholarships. Additionally, I have trained and supported more than 25 graduate and undergraduate research assistants through my research projects. I always encourage my graduate students to publish and together we have co-authored many peer-reviewed journal articles and presented dozens of conference presentations both in Canada and internationally.
My approach to graduate student supervision is as a trusted advisor and guide, meaning that I guide students toward the specific knowledge, resources and opportunities they will need to be independently successful in their research program and beyond. I especially want to ensure the research experience is enjoyable and germane to a student’s future academic and professional goals.
I welcome new students with excellent grades and references and a passion for impact assessment research.
