• February 2022 - Our Nature Synthesis paper is chosen as Synfacts of the Month.
• February 2022 - Karn receives a prestigious NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship. The first one in the group's history. Congratulations!
• January 2022 - Karn's paper on the quantification of resonance energy using NBOdel is accepted in Eur. J. Org. Chem. For the first time in the group's history, a student is corresponding author on a research paper. In addition, it was chosen as a Very Important Paper. Congratulations!

• May 2022 - Karn, Christa, Sydnie, and Brianna's paper on the synthesis of a dehydro[10]annulene is accepted in Nature Synthesis. Congratulations! This paper is the culmination of many years of effort on the part of two graduate and two undergraduate students. It has been quite an adventure that is finally rewarded! • January 2021 - Karn goes to Giessen (Germany) for a three-month stay in the lab of Peter Schreiner at Justus Liebig University, supported by a DAAD fellowship. Enjoy your stay!
• January 2021 - Karn and Pouyan's paper on the total synthesis of (+)-hyacinthacine A₁ in Org. Lett. Our second natural product syntehsis, it is a nice application of both the diastereoselective cross-benzoin reaction developed in our group and of Vassilikogiannakis' oxidative rearrangement of furans.
• December 10, 2020 - Hemkalyan successfully completes his comprehensive examination on 6π-electrocyclization in total synthesis of natural products. Congratulations!
• November 2020 - Mehran's paper on the enantioselective Stetter reaction using chiral cyclopropenylidenes is is accepted in Org. Lett. Highlighted on the the Organic Chemistry Portal.
• September 2020 - Shaoyan Wang joins the group for his CHEM 483 project. Welcome to the group!
• August 2020 - Rohith and Mehrdad pass their qualifying exams. Congratulations to both!
• July 2020 - Hemkalyan, Tianqi, Rohith, and Mehrdad are allowed back in the lab. Everyone is back on campus full time except the supervisor.

• March 2010 - Michel obtains a second NSERC Discovery Grant. We can keep going for another 5 years!
• February 2010 - Michel is awarded a   CNC-IUPAC Award. Thanks to this award (and to his students!), he will be attending the 18th International Conference on Organic Synthesis in Bergen, Norway, in August 2010.
• December 4, 2009 - Li successfully defends his M.Sc. thesis. Congratulations Master Li!
• November 1, 2009 - Eduardo receives the third prize at the Banff Symposium on Organic Chemistry. Congratulations!
