PhD (January 2018), Ianowski Laboratory -"Effect of Bacteria on Airway Submucosal Glands Liquid Secretion in Swine"
Xiaojie ‘Jay’ Luan currently works as a research associate in the adult Cystic Fibrosis clinic in Royal University Hospital and in Cardiopulmonary Cluster laboratory in College of Medicine. While under supervision of Dr. Julian Tam and Dr. Juan Ianowski, his research focus on investigating the role of airway surface liquid in innate lung defense system. He also works on building a bridge between basic biomedical research and clinical service for patients in order to improve the current treatment for respiratory disease.
