Jose Diego Marques Santos has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Federal University of Piaui, Brazil, and a master's degree in Community and Population Health Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan. He has been involved in health research since he was an undergraduate nursing student. Jose Diego's master thesis focused on health care utilization differences between First Nations and the general population diagnosed with IBD in Saskatchewan.
