Biography

Kiran Raj Timalsena

Kiran received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2011 from the Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Nepal. From 2012-2014, he held an assistant lecturer position with the Khwopa College of Engineering, Bhaktapur, Nepal. During 2014–2017, he worked as an electrical engineer for Nepal Electricity Authority, Nepal. His research interests lie in the areas of the reliability evaluation of the modern electric distribution system. As a member of the power system reliability group, Kiran is working as a graduate research assistant with Professor Rajesh Karki, focusing on the reliability modeling of the protection system in the electricity distribution system.
