Biography

Alireza
Alireza Zare received the B.Sc. degree (as the 1st rank) in electrical engineering from Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University, Tehran, Iran, in 2012, and the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology (the finest university of the country), Tehran, Iran, in 2014. In September 2015, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, where he is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering under supervision of Prof. C.Y. Chung.

After completing one semester at U of S, Alireza could achieve the Electrical Engineering Department Graduate Student Scholarship which is only awarded to fully qualified graduate students who can prove their academic merit and research potential. So far, he has been able to publish 5 papers in ISI journals and 3 papers in international conferences. Moreover, he is currently a student member of IEEE, and the reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems. 

His research interests include distribution system planning and operation, energy management of electric vehicles, renewable and distributed energy resources, and smart grid technologies.
