Biography

Benyamin Khorramdel received his BSc. degree from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, Ahvaz, Iran in Sep. 2009 and the MSc. degree from Shiraz University (3rd rank), Shiraz, Iran in Feb. 2012 both in power electrical engineering.

He is a member of Iran’s National Elites Foundation and has published different peer-reviewed journal papers. He is also a reviewer of IEEE Transaction on Smart Grid, IEEE Transaction on Industrial Informatics, International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems and Energy journals. 

He is currently a PhD student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Saskatchewan under the supervision of Dr. Tony C. Y. Chung.

Experience

His research experiences include:
• Modeling of Distributed Generations and Electric Vehicles.
• Statistical Learning, Stochastic Optimization and Planning.
• Intelligent Fault Locating in Large Distribution Systems.
• Optimal Battery Sizing in Micro Grids.
• Comprehensive Planning of Switch-Mode Power Supplies.

He was an invited lecturer in different universities in Fars province in Iran and obtained valuable teaching experiences from 2010 to 2013 in the following courses.

Also, he was a full-time researcher in Iran’s National Elites Foundation during 2013-2015 and a part-time Research Assistant at Shiraz University from 2015 to March 2016.
