Elisha Asiri

Biography

Elisha ASIRI is currently on a PhD programme in Electrical Engineering and he is a member of the Smart Lab Team being headed by Prof. C.Y. Chung at the University of Saskatchewan.

His Academic Achievements include:

  • 2015 – 2016: University of Manchester. MSc Renewable Energy and Clean Technology. Dissertation Project: Community Energy: An International Comparison of Progress and Policy.

Additional Project: Modelling the power system of a case study country in order to investigate the economic and technical aspects of decarbonizing our energy sources and integrating more renewable energy options while maintaining reliability in a cost effective approach.

  • 2008 – 2012: University of Benin. BSc (Hons) Electrical Electronic Engineering

Dissertation Project: Solar Energy: An alternative source of power supply (Used to power a golf cart as a case study)

 

Related Work Experience

2011: Renewable Energy for Homes and Detailing Company, Nigeria.

       Technical Department (Industrial placement)

    • Installation and maintenance of energy backup facilities, base stations and LED street lightings;
    • Photovoltaic solar system sizing, system configuration and design;
    • Company representative and marketing of company products and services.
