Nestor Sandoval Zuñiga

Biography

Nestor
Nestor Sandoval received his BSc. degree from Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral, Ecuador and the MSc. degree from the same university, both in electrical power systems.

During his bachelor's degree, he completed his thesis work related to the biggest hydropower project, "Coca Codo Sinclair" in Ecuador. 

He is currently a PhD student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Saskatchewan under the supervision of Dr. Tony C. Y. Chung.

Experience

He aserved as a lecturer in Universidad Politecnica Salesiana for the courses of Power System Analysis, Power System Faults and Stability, State Estimation and High Voltage. 

He gained industrial experience while working for electrical distribuiton company of Guayaquil, Ecuador, in the areas of planning, engineering, substations and subtrasnmission lines. 

He also worked on projects associated with Ministry of Electricity and Energy of Ecuador. He served as member of national committee of electrical protections. He also worked for the implementation of the CYME software as the national electrical simulator, reinforcement of the national electrical systems and reliability considerations to face the massive inclusion of induction stoves.
