Weijia Liu, PhD

Biography

Weija
Weijia Liu received the B.Eng. and the Ph.D. degrees both in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He worked as research assistants at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Technical University of Denmark and the University of Sydney for almost two years in total during his Ph.D. study.

He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK, Canada. Before joining the University of Saskatchewan as a Postdoctoral Fellow, He worked as an Engineer for Jiangsu Electric Power Research Institute from 2016 to 2017. His research experiences include the power system restoration, electric vehicles, electricity markets and smart grid. He has served as reviewers for over 10 international refereed journals including IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, Energy, etc.
