Thanks to RTDS Technologies for donating a new rack to the Real Time Power Systems Simulation Lab, which has provided an opportunity for real-time large grid simulation and testing of IEC 61850 communication.
Xingxing received first place in Graduate Student Poster Contest, IEEE PESGM 2016
Shane Jin was awarded first place in the Graduate Student Poster Contest at the IEEE PES General Meeting in Boston MA, July 2016 on the topic of "High-Speed Digital Distance Relaying Scheme for Extra High Voltage Transmission Lines." The PES General Meeting is the flagship conference for the IEEE Power & Energy Society. Shane Jin is doing Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Prof. Ramakrishna (Rama) Gokaraju.
