Dr. Karsten Liber (PhD)

Executive Director, SENS

A scientific leader recognized globally for his work in ecological toxicology and chemical risk management. He is the executive director of the School of Environment and Sustainability (SENS) and former director of the Toxicology Centre.

Dr. Xiao Liu (PhD)

Lab Manager & Inorganic Analyses

Manages the research lab and is responsible for inorganic analyses including metals, trace elements, major ions, and routine water quality parameters.

Dr. Lorne Doig (PhD)

Field Research Lead

Manages field components of the oil sands research and oversees the current project on understanding element biodynamics in oil sands end-pit lakes.
