Ian's profile page

Dr. Ian Burgess received his B.Sc.and Ph.D. at the University of Guelph under the supervision of Prof. Jacek Lipkowski. His graduate work focuesd on SPM studies of surfactant assembly at electrified interfaces and neutron reflectivity studies of biomimetic supported bilayers. After finishing his Ph.D in 2004 he completed a two year post-doc with Prof. Bruce Lennox at McGill University studying the electrochemistry of gold nanoparticles and self-assembled thiol monolayers. Dr. Burgess joined the University of Saskatchewan Chemistry Department in late 2005.
