Dr. Liang's main research interests include:

1) Power systems dynamics and load modeling;

2) Renewable energy integration;

3) Microgrids and smart grids;

4) Electric machines;

5) Power electronic devices in power systems;

6) Protection of power systems and components;

7) HVDC technologies;

8) Synchrophasor technology

9) With more than a decade oil field service experience, she has passion in power system applications in oil field facilities, which will also be one of her research themes. It includes onshore, offshore and subsea power engineering, and electrical submersible pump (ESP) systems.
