I am a Social Worker and proud alumna of the National University of Colombia. My work and research focus on pressing social issues, including racism, environmental sustainability, campesino rights and peacebuilding. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Environment and Sustainability at the University of Saskatchewan, under the supervision of Dr. James Robson. My research aims to explore campesino participatory processes in environmental protection and peacebuilding in Colombia.
In my professional journey, I’ve contributed as a Social Worker at the Directorate General of Military Health, where I supported key initiatives to improve social well-being. At the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), I served as a Social Professional, addressing critical social challenges and promoting inclusive development. Additionally, my role as a Territorial Researcher at the National University of Colombia allowed me to explore regional social dynamics, contributing to impactful academic insights. My diverse experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of systemic issues and the tools to advocate for meaningful change. I am driven by a passion for collaborative problem-solving and creating solutions that empower individuals and communities.
