Research projects
I study the electronic structure of silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) using a combination of synchrotron-based soft X-ray spectroscopy and density functional theory (DFT). My work focuses on comparing experimental XAS and XES spectra with WIEN2k DFT calculations to better understand the electronic structure and bonding that governs the properties of these structural ceramics.
