The Leung Lab infrastructure includes equipment essential for Drosophila research (e.g. stereomicroscope for dissection, behavioural tracking station to analyze behavioural phenotypes, incubators for setting up genetic crosses) and protein biochemistry (e.g. protein purification system). We also routinely use equipment at the WCVM Imaging Centre, the Protein Characterization and Crystallization Facility (PCCF) and the Saskatchewan Structural Sciences Centre, the Canadian Light Source. We are members of the Neuroscience Research Cluster, the Molecular Design Research Cluster, and the Proteomics Research in Interactions and Structure of Macromolecules (PRISM). This infrastructure supports our research program and allows our trainees to acquire expert knowledge in a diverse range of experimental approaches.
