  • Access SK NEIHR e-learning resources, training, and events 
  • Support Indigenous research trainees and trainee activities 
  • Apply for Community Partnership Grants 
  • Develop research partnerships and capacity bridging with community partners  
  • Support community-led research at the request of communities 
  • Opportunity to receive letters of support from SK NEIHR and its partners 
  • Complete SK NEIHR Annual Survey 
  • All members will be asked to participate in SK NEIHR Métis Data Governance and OCAP ® training to support culturally-safe research.  
  • Provide or facilitate review of Community Partnership Grants, undergraduate, graduate, and/or postdoctoral funding applications.  
  • Participate in NEIHR activities, such as: identifying opportunities for collaboration, participating in events, sharing content for social media and newsletters, volunteering for roles on committees   

Community member

Indigenous or non-Indigenous community or organization, including non-governmental organizations, non-profit organizations, etc. (eg. Tribal Council, Métis local, Friendship Centre, health advocacy association, etc.) 

  • Receive some assistance in preparing for and/or undertaking health research. 
  • Identify relevant research priorities. 
  • Receive some support completing applications for SK NEIHR funding and/or external health research grant applications. 
  • Connect and network with appropriate academic and other research partners. 
  • Create and develop Knowledge Sharing Mobilization strategies.  
  • Access to SK NEIHR training, including e-learning, and events.  
  • Complete SK NEIHR Annual Survey 
  • All members will be asked to participate in SK NEIHR Métis Data Governance and OCAP ® training to support cultural safe research. Member rate available.

Indigenous or non-Indigenous undergraduate or graduate student studying at a postsecondary institution in Saskatchewan. 

  • Apply for SK NEIHR scholarships or fellowships (open to Indigenous students) 
  • Access to SK NEIHR training, including e-learning, and events.  
  • Receive mentorship and training through student-focused activities  
  • Connect and network with community partners, academics, and other research partners 
  • Attend Annual Gathering (registration, accommodation, and travel provided by the Network) 
  • Complete SK NEIHR Annual Survey 
  • All members will be asked to participate in SK NEIHR Métis Data Governance and OCAP ® training to support cultural safe research. Costs may be reimbursed for student members. 
  • Provide or facilitate review of Community Partnership Grants, undergraduate, graduate, and/or post-doctoral funding applications. Honoraria for student committee members.
