CSC 2025

Part of the group attended the annual CSC, which was held in sunny Ottawa!

Here we are near the end of 5 days of heavy 'conferencing' at the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition 2025 in Ottawa (June 15th - June 19th). This was held in the the Rogers Centre, which is basically a large glass egg attached to the Rideau Centre. You can contrast this with the opening photo where a very enthusiastic 'early in the week' Stephen is standing in front of Parliament Hill (unfortunately adorned by various cranes)!

From L to R: Wenlong, Amy, Stephen, and Jaydeep.

My students all gave excellent talks on either DNA origami, azulenes, or pyrenes. We also chatted with our collaborators and plenty of other people. All-in-all it was a 'good job done'! Here are some other photos from the event:

Here's Stephen presenting his talk. He was peppered with lots and lots of questions at the end of his talk, which he answered really well!

Here's Wenlong hanging out with Brian Wagner at his poster on the fluorescence of things that surround us every day. It was a really inspiring poster!
