Goodbye summer students
We will miss you all!
Our summer students have gone ... except Mia, who is doing an undergrad research course this year - yay!!!
Our two MITACS students who rocked some DNA studies, and learned about Tim Horton's tea, have gone back to Colombia and Mexico. We turned one student to the dark side, i.e. spectroscopy, and he's now gone back to the wilds of Ottawa!
All of our students, though gone, seem to have been captivated by Sasakatoon's charm and one of them loved running experiments at the Canadian Light Source! It will be great to see them again in the future - either for visits or during conferences! We will miss you all!
Of course, we have plenty of photos from their leaving parties:
Leidy's farewell party! Leidy is holding the card that Jaydeep made using a photo of Thorvaldson and our group!
Cupcakes to bid Leidy farewell! Very tasty, but very sweet!
Noa showed up his awesome origami skills - this is an origami box used to house a cupcake for Leidy, as she had to leave early to catch a flight!
Valeria's party! This time we went with pizza and pie!
Smiles and peace signs as we bid Valeria a fond farewell!
