Undergrad poster and talks
A whole lot of goings-on in August!
A few different presentation events happened in August ...
Mia presented a poster at the 2026 INSPIRE-CLS Summer Poster Session on 19th of August and at the SURE poster symposium on 26th of August. She showed some cage-attached pyrene results and some X-ray diffraction patterns of our DNA origami.
Here are some photos of the SURE symposium:

Mia is doing a fantastic job going through the details of her poster!

Some of my group members at the SURE symposium! They were there to support Mia and see what other USask undergrads had been up to during the summer.
Noa gave a talk at the 2026 RISE conference on 21st of August at the University of Ottawa. He presented some results from his cage-attached pyrene research. He explained how chlorine-containing solvents seem to destroy the samples, upon UV-light excitation, and illustrated this with some nice videos!

Noa's talk abstract.

Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of Noa giving his talk, but I did snap a photo of this bunny that was hopping around on the UOttawa campus!
