Conga-rats to our summer students

We bid a fond farewell to John, Tanish, and Wilson, after a great summer of research, and we welcome back Niza!

Wilson, Tanish, and John made great progress on their projects!

Wilson found spectroscopic evidence of cyanine aggregation, while Tanish managed to tether nanoparticles together with DNA! John also presented his research at the SURE 2021 symposium at the end of August. Congratulations to you all and I hope you are inspired by your summer research!

For her honour's thesis work, we're delighted to welcome Niza Ngwira into our group for the whole year! She was one of my first summer research undergraduate students in the summer of 2020 and worked on a literature review of DNA folding techniques. Now she's back to get into the lab and apply her DNA knowledge!
