On March 13, the federal investment in new Canada Research Chairs was announced. Professor Moewes' chair in Materials Science with Synchrotron Radiation comes with funding of $1.4 million over 7 years (2012-2018) for the characterization and modelling of novel materials that will pave the way to new sensors and devices.
