Congratulations to Dr. Deborah Anderson who has been nominated for a Saskatoon Women of Distinction Award. Deborah is nominated in the Research and Technology category, which recognizes women for excellence or discovery in science, research, or technology, and who are role models in their careers and community involvement. Deborah has been with the Cancer Agency since 1991 and is now Director of Research. Through her research in cancer cell biology, grant funding acquisitions, and published articles, Deborah has helped to elevate the profile of cancer research in Saskatchewan. She continues to be actively involved in the annual C95 Radio Marathon raising funds for breast cancer research. Deborah also plays a strong mentorship role with new researchers and has supervised many graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Deborah is a tremendous role model for women in science and a very worthy nominee for this award.
