Funding Opportunities for Postdoctoral Fellows

There are several funding opportunities available for postdoctoral fellows at the University of Saskatchewan, as well as through other resources such as Tri-Council fellowships, Government of Canada programs, and Mitacs initiatives.   • Misiwêskamik International Postdoctoral Fellowship: Offered by the University of Saskatchewan, this fellowship aims to attract international postdoctoral scholars. It provides $50,000 annually for two years, with $25,000 from the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and a matching $25,000 from the supervisor.   • SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowships: The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council offers fellowships valued at $70,000 per year for two years, totaling $140,000.   • Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships: This prestigious program provides $70,000 per year for two years to top-tier postdoctoral researchers. It aims to attract and retain talent by supporting individuals who will positively contribute to Canada's economic, social, and research-based growth.   • NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowships: The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council offers fellowships of $70,000 per year for two years.
