Prospective Grad Students & Postdocs
My lab is currently at capacity for the 2026 year, but feel free to reach out if you are interested!
For Canadian graduate students: I expect you to apply for NSERC CGS-M/CGS-D/PGS-D funding in my lab. We do have departmental and university scholarships that are available if you are unsuccessful with NSERC!
For international graduate students: Few scholarships exist for international students from the Federal government, but I expect that you will apply for departmental and university scholarships to support your degree! Some countries have scholarships that can support graduate studies in different countries, the linked website above may aid your search!
For postdoctoral researchers: As NSERC Discovery Grants do not allow me to request support for postdocs, we will need to be creative! I expect you to apply for the NSERC PDF (if possible) or other sources of postdoc funding (such as Mitacs). The above link also includes many postdoc funding options!
For external funding opportunities, please check out this website (courtesy of Aerin Jacob)!

Birds Canada and the Society of Canadian Ornithologists has recently release The Roost, a form for ornithology discussions and positions, this is a great place to find different opportunities!
