Food & Nutrition Lab: Health Sciences Building 2B64
Authorized users of the food and nutrition lab include:
- University of Saskatchewan entitites
- USSU ratified student groups
- Groups outside of the USASK may be able to rent the facility; contact us for more information
Priority of Use: Permission to use the food and nutrition lab will be scheduled according to the following priortized list:
- All activities related to the foods and nutrition courses that are within the undergraduate nutrition curriculum.
- Activities associated with the College of Pharmacy & Nutrition including partners (Saskatchewan Health Authority).
- University activities hosted by U of S entities and USSU ratified student groups, outside of the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition.
- Groups external to USASK.
All users of the food and nutrition lab will be required to:
- Identify the supervising faculty/staff member who will be taking responsibility for the designated use of the food lab and all of its participants
- Follow all of the operation and safety protocols outlined in the JSA/SOP
- Have a minimum of one food safety certified individual supervising food safety in the lab
- Schedule their proposed lab date and times with the Main office
- Complete a cleaning and safety checklist after use
