The SK-NEIHR provides funds of up to $10,000.00 for First Nations and Métis health research projects in Saskatchewan. In this blog we will: Provide information on the Community Partnership support funds; provide information on the Knowledge Translation support funds; share examples of funded Community Partnership projects; share examples of funded Knowledge Translation funded projects; and, share information on how to apply.
Let’s get started!
Community Partnership Support Funds
The SK-NEIHR Community Partnership Support Funds offer funds of up to $10,000.00. As seed funding, these funds support researchers and community members as they develop applications to the Tri-Councils and other major research funders. These funds are intended for planning and development. Quick Tip: The funds are great for supporting research proposal development.
Knowledge Translation Support Funds

Each application is reviewed individually, and one-to-one guidance and support is provided by SK-NEIHR staff Ken Lai. For questions regarding projects or applications, we welcome you to contact Ken Lai at ken.lai@usask.ca.

SK-NEIHR Funds Deadline
Finally, the SK-NEIHR KT and CP funds are available on a rolling deadline. This means that you can submit applications for funds of up $10,000.00 any time of the year. So when you, your teams, and your community partners are in need of funding to support your community partnership or knowledge translation work, remember that the SK-NEIHR is here to help. Connecting with community partners and producing content that communicates research outcomes and stories, these can be costly for researchers and community partners. This is why the SK-NEIHR provides our support funds.
