Background

Mojtaba is a PhD student in Nutrition at the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, University of Saskatchewan. He also serves as a Research Assistant at the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition where he manages Vatanparast Nutritional Epidemiology Lab (VNEL). Mojtaba has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2014. He has also obtained a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in 2017. During his Master’s, besides intensive studies on the subject of his thesis, he has contributed to several research projects such as the Mashhad stroke and heart atherosclerotic disorder (MASHAD) study. His specific research interests are focused on the field of Nutritional Psychiatry and Nutritional Epidemiology. His research project mainly focuses on the dietary patterns of off-reserve Indigenous peoples and their association with health outcomes.
