Davor Ojkic DVM, MSc, PhD Adjunct Professor - Veterinary Pathology
Dr. Davor Ojkic is an adjunct professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, WCVM and serves on graduate student committees. He is a virologist/immunologist at the Animal Health Laboratory, University of Guelph.
Lisanework Ayalew DVM, PhD, Dip ACVM Adjunct Professor - Veterinary Pathology
Dr. Lisanework Ayalew is currently an Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology and Microbiology, Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island. He is an adjunct professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathology, WCVM and serves on graduate student committees. He was previously a Professional Research Associate in our poultry group.

Thushari Gunawardana BVSc, PhD Collaborator
Thushari completed her PhD in 2018 and worked in our lab as a post-doctoral fellow. She recently accepted a faculty position at the University of Peredeniya.

Dr. Ahmed is a collaborator in our research group. He is currently Virologist and Divison Head at the Abbotsford Veterinary Diagnostic Lab.
Ashish Gupta BVSc&AH, MVSc, MVetSc, PhD Collaborator
Ashish completed his PhD in 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Gomis, then joined the team as a post-doctoral fellow. He then completed the MVetSc program at the Department of Veterinary Pathology in anatomic pathology. Ashish has recently accepted a faculty position in the Department of Ecosystem and Public Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary.

Amy was part of our lab during summer 2020. She recently accepted a poultry veterinarian position with Sunrise Farms.

Dr. Neil Ambrose is a collaborator in our research group. He is currently the Director of Veterinary Services, Sunrise Farms.

Kalhari completed her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Gomis. She is currently a post-doctoral research scientist at the National Center for Foreign Animal Diseases in Winnipeg, MB.

Ruwani recently completed her PhD in December 2019. She is currently working in the bacteriology lab at Prairie Diagnostic Services.

Lisa de Melo Santana Past Member - MITACS Globalink
Lisa joined our lab during the summer of 2019, as a MITACS Globalink Intern. Her project was entitiled "Divergence and ontogeny of immune cell profiles in neonatal meat and egg type chickens". She is currently finishing her DVM program in Brazil. Best of luck!
