About Our Sources
STARR-Lab owns and operates two custom-designed alpha particle sources for peforming Single Event Effects Testing on devices.
Our wide-area button source can be used for device testing on larger areas, such SSDs or memory modules, whereas our point source is meant for being placed directly overtop of bare dies to evaluate their SEE performance.
Since our sources small and movable, they can be fitted to a large variety of devices and testing situations.
