Background

Hayelom began his PhD in May 2018 at the School of Public Health, University of Saskatchewan. Hayelom has a Master’s of Pharmacology (2017) and a Master’s in Public Health (2014) from Mekelle University, Ethiopia He worked as an academic staff/teaching associate at Adigrat University, Ethiopia. Prior to this, he obtained a Bachelor’s of Pharmacy (2011) from Haramaya University in Ethiopia. With more than four years of experience in clinical and community research, Hayelom possesses skills in the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of epidemiological studies and RCTs, with a particular interest in nutrition, metabolism and chronic diseases, nutritional supplements, maternal and child health nutrition and economic evaluation of large scale interventions. Currently, he is investigating and analyzing a longitudinal data on pediatric bone mineral accrual study situated in Saskatchewan, Canada.
