Karim is a Ph.D. student in Nutrition at the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, University of Saskatchewan. He has completed his Master’s degree in Nutrition Sciences from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and his undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
Karim's research interests are focused on childhood growth and development, bone health, public health nutrition, and dietary assessment methods. He has experience in conducting longitudinal studies and is also interested in exploring the impact of technology and media on eating behaviour. He is dedicated to developing pragmatic approaches to utilizing nutrition sciences to improve health outcomes.
With a strong academic and research background in nutrition, Karim is committed to contributing to the field through innovative and practical approaches. Currently, he is working on a research project that aims to assess the role of milk and dairy food consumption in growth, development, and bone health outcomes among Canadian children. This study employs an explanatory sequential mixed-method design and seeks to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of dairy product consumption among Canadian households with young children. Through this research, Karim hopes to advance our understanding of the importance of milk and dairy products in promoting healthy growth and development among children.
